Start Up Visa
The Start Up Visa is a good opportunity for those individuals who want to take initiative for their own business in the UK for the first time in their career. To pursue this high-value visa category, the applicants must have an innovative, viable, and versatile business idea that has the firm support of an endorsing body.
Under this visa category, the initial endowment for leave is about 2 years, but it doesn’t lead directly to settlement. Nevertheless, if the applicant is timed out of leave after 2 years, they have the authority to switch to the innovator visa category for settlement purposes in the UK.
All the applicants of this visa category must have a strong business plan, approved by an endorsing body, in order to get entry clearance or leave to stay. The bright side is that the applicant doesn’t need to be the sole founder of the business, rather can be a Start up team member. But every member must have their own individual endorsement.
To meet the Secure English Language test listed in Appendix O, the applicant must fulfill the given prerequisites;
- The applicant has passed the English Language test at CEFR Level B2
- The applicant is a national of mainly English speaking country
- The applicant has a degree taught in English endorsed by UK NARIC equivalence
